Dodge Europe takes central stage at the Dutch round of the WorldSBK Championship with a dominating presence throughout the entire racing weekend

Dodge Europe strengthened its presence at the Dutch round of the World Superbike Championship, on a weekend full of adrenaline and the beginning of new adventures for the Brand. At the Assen TT Circuit, also known as the “Cathedral of Speed”, fans were able to worship true performance of the Official Cars, discover and test drive iconic Dodge models, and become part of the production of the Brand’s IN//OUT web series.

The Official Safety Cars, two Dodge Challenger SRT® Hellcat, and the two Dodge Durango acting as the Race Direction and FIM Safety Officer cars were, yet again, a highlight of the racing weekend with their special livery dedicated to the partnership with WorldSBK. Once more, the “hot laps” session warmed up the crowd on the stands on a cold and rainy weekend.

Alongside its trader KW Auto, the Brand had a great number of visits at its stand at the Paddock show, featuring four “Last Call” V8 models available for test driving: one Dodge Challenger Scatpack powered by a V8 6.4L HEMI® engine with 485hp, two Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat equipped with a V8 6.2L Supercharged engine delivering 717hp, and one Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat V8 6.2L HEMI providing 707hp.

The Brand had impressive media attention also because of the presence of Ida Zetterström (@dragsterfia), NHRA Top Fuel Racer, European Top Fuel Champion 2023, and Dodge Brand Ambassador. During this racing weekend, she enjoyed a fully-immersive WorldSBK experience, which included taking the first lap before Saturday’s Race 1 on board her personalized Challenger SRT Hellcat V8 6.2 l, boasting 717hp. The unforgettable moment was broadcasted live globally. Ida was also invited by Dorna to take part of the award ceremonies of the Superpole on Saturday 20th, for once delivering trophies instead of receiving them.

The exclusive experience of Ida at the Dutch round of WorldSBK will be featured in the first episode of the new season of IN//OUT, Dodge’s editorial project focused on communicating the Brand’s iconic values and exciting challenges in the European context. This new season aims at showing all ways Dodge can bring drivers “IN” the moment to always discover “OUT” of the ordinary performance.

“It’s great to be back on track with Dodge here in Europe after my first months in the USA together with my JCM Racing team as I get ready for my NHRA Top Fuel debut,” says Ida Zetterström. “The Dodge Europe Team has great plans for the new series, I’m looking forward to being part of something truly innovative in terms of Brand storytelling: wait and see what we have shot here in Assen!

“Dodge Europe is here to play a central role in the show of all World SBK weekends, supercharging emotions of the fans at the circuit and connected from home,” states Luca Vernoli, Head of Marketing Communication Dodge & RAM Trucks for Enlarged Europe. “Our approach is to communicate the Brand in Europe through a cross media strategy and, thanks to the fruitful collaboration with Dorna and its partners, keep exploring exciting and first-time media opportunities to be revealed in the next weeks.”

He added: “This weekend in Assen was a great example of that, we are also thankful for the special appearance of Team Go Eleven and Andrea Iannone, who opened their box doors to host Ida and Dodge in a special behind-the-scenes moment for IN//OUT.”

Production of the new episode includes a special surprise for both fans of drag racing and of the Superbike world: stay tuned and follow dodge.europe social media channels to stay up to date.
