Thought to have about a 50% survival rate, speculation is that there’s roughly 1,200-1,300 1969 Dodge Dayontas and 1970 Plymouth Superbirds combined left today. One collection, The Gary Edwards Wing Car & Mopar® Collection, has no fewer than 12 such examples. There are seven ’69 Daytonas – one with only 6,490 miles – and five ’70 Daytonas – three of which have the 426 HEMI® V8 engine and are finished in classic high-impact colors. Aside from the “Winged Warriors”, the collection has another four fan favorites, including a 1970 Plymouth Road Runner and a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda. The entire collection is for sale and expected to cross the Mecum Kissimmee auction block in January 2023. This 16-car collection of Mopar classics could go for more than $10 million! Let us know in the comments which of these muscle cars you’d like to bid on first.
