Petty’s Garage Strikes Gold

5 months ago Events

The 2009 Dodge Challenger Petty’s Garage Convertible is a collaboration that pays tribute to NASCAR legend Richard Petty. Known as “Legacy by Petty” and commissioned by R.W. “Bob” O’Gorman, it is the second car crafted by Petty’s Garage. The convertible conversion was done by Drop Top Customs and suits the Petty Blue exterior with artwork by well-known artist Mickey Harris. The Challenger features several impressive details both under the hood and in the cabin, including a 7.0-liter HEMI® V8 engine, snakeskin inserts and an autographed speedometer. Having graced events, tracks and museums, Legacy by Petty is headed to auction at Mecum Kissimmee in January.
