This Charger was known for “Going Like Hell”, which is where it got its name as the GLH. Tuner and former racer Carroll Shelby transformed Dodge’s stock 1983 Dodge Charger to a front-wheel-drive subcompact hatchback. Shelby then added a turbocharger in 1985, ending production in 1987 when the final 1,000 Shelby Chargers were shipped directly to Carroll Shelby’s facility in California to be transformed into the legendary Charger GLH-S.
