Dodge Challenger Memory Lane

1 year ago Owners + Clubs

When Elana Scherr needed to borrow a shirt from a friend at a slumber party, she had no idea she’d be choosing her destiny. The over-sized graphic tee had a 1974 Dodge Challenger Rallye with the words “So Rare!” under it in groovy block letters true to the times. Fast forward to years later, Scherr purchased a 1972 Challenger and wonders to this day if it was the memory of that shirt that subtly guided her to our favorite E-body. She won $200 at the Los Angeles County Raceway in that car, her first and only time down the drag strip, before trading in the ’72 Challenger for a ’70 Challenger fixer-upper that she thought would be more collectible. Scherr’s love for Dodge waivers with the third generation but returns with the introduction of the Hellcat. Take a walk down Dodge Challenger memory lane with Elana Scherr.
