6 months ago Owners + Clubs

Veteran sportsman drag racer Mike Cotten surprised many by unveiling a 1971 Plymouth Barracuda at the NHRA US Nationals in Indianapolis. He’d been racing a ’70 Barracuda in the Super Stock class since 2005 and his new ride earned him the Best Appearing Car award. The ’71 ’Cuda has a unique history, changing hands for over 15 years before it ended up with him. Cotton wasted no time making the vehicle his own, utilizing experts at shops across the country. The now heavily modified, custom ’71 ’Cuda represents a new challenge for Cotten, one that he seems to welcome with open arms, and he has big plans for its next season. Mike Cotten’s surprise unveiling of a 1971 Plymouth Barracuda was a highlight of the 2023 NHRA US Nationals.
