Vanishing Point, starring Barry Newman, was released in 1971 and features a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T that one could argue made the movie. Chaos ensues as our lead tries to make it from Denver, Colorado, to San Francisco, California, in just fifteen hours in the Challenger – a drive that takes roughly 19 hours even today.
