The Crop Duster’s Journey

7 months ago Showcase Video

Roadkill Garage’s Steve Dulcich and David Freiburger originally turned this rescued 1970 Plymouth Duster, lovingly christened “Crop Duster”, into a racing machine by adding a 440 V8 and gearing. With its new engine and full makeover, the ’70 Plymouth ran a 10.34 at 129.4 mph. Now, due to neighbors complaining and, well, age, Freiburger aims to make it quieter and more drivable. In this episode of Roadkill Garage, they’re getting under the hood – and removing it to try to fix the hood gap. “Instead of pushing it more into the race car world, I’m going to back it down into the streetcar world,” Frieburger explains. Watch the episode below to find out if this restored 1970 Plymouth Duster will retire its racing cap for the life of a daily driver.
