Who doesn’t love a long drive on a cool autumn day? For a lot of people, taking a long drive to see the leaves changing color is a yearly tradition. The cool breeze on your face, the beautiful fall colors and, of course, the hum of the engine is a relaxing experience. Now imagine taking the family for that same trip in a classic car. Barrett-Jackson’s Fall Auction in Scottsdale can hook you up with one of those classic Dodge or Plymouth vehicles you have always wanted. The auction will run October 22nd through October 24th and already has several vehicles secured to cross the auction block and we have our eye on quite a few.

One of 519 produced for the U.S., one of 431 with an automatic transmission and one of six built with a red exterior, this Coronet R/T is listed as one-of-one in two of the Galen Govier Registry categories.

It was previously a California car that was kept in storage for 22 years, and its restoration was completed in February 2020. This Dodge is powered by its matching-numbers 440/375hp Magnum engine backed by its matching-numbers TorqueFlite® 727 automatic transmission turning an 8-3/4-inch rear end with 3.23 gear ratio.

Its equipped with power steering and brakes, and rides on chrome 15×7 Magnum 500 wheels wrapped in new Firestone F70 red line tires. The red exterior features a white power convertible top, remote left-side mirror, fender-mounted turn-signal indicators, and nice chrome, glass and trim. Inside, this Coronet sports correct new white upholstery, bucket seats with center console, Tic-Toc-Tach, Rally gauges with 150 mph speedometer, stock AM radio and factory cruise control.
