Mike Krauchick has an eye for spotting a diamond in the rough. It takes a certain person to see a run-down old car that most people would sell for scrap and envision a new project car worth putting the time and, more importantly, the money into. In 1971, while driving in his hometown of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Mike spotted a ’62 Dodge Polara sitting on blocks and in pretty rough shape. After inquiring about the car, the owner threw out a price of $75 and Mike jumped at the opportunity to make this project his new drag car. This 60-year-old car looks anything but old and, quite frankly, has us drooling!

Wow what a great find, only if we all could be so lucky

I’d become the ultimate humble stunner. I wish to be as lucky as this car is in every way. Nice ride man. Love the transformation. I wonder what the car had been through from the time it was built. Either way. It looks great bet it runs better and I’m happy for it.
