Everyone Has an Opinion

Since the reveal of the Dodge Challenger SRT® Demon 170 in Las Vegas last month, there’s been a lot of speculation, opinions and anger flying around. Why are dealers marking up the prices so much? Why isn’t Dodge doing anything about it? Even going so far as saying Dodge doesn’t care about their customers and loyal owners anymore. Here’s one well-researched opinion, based on facts.

The first 3 minutes of this video was talking about presenting facts and being strategic about how to present an idea based on empirical data, even showing definitions of words like “empirical,” “perspective,” and “fact.” Then, the very first topic of your presentation was speculation. Using phrases like “I think” implies that the statements that follow are opinions. In the first 40 seconds of the video you state that you “try to understand things for what they are, rather than what I might think they are,” and “my opinion sometimes is based in emotion and sometimes that emotion drives decisions and those decisions sometimes end up being wrong, so I try to deal with facts, reality.” A few slides in, you talk about the naming of the “Demon,” telling the audience that the message on that slide is based on your opinion. An informative presentation should be based on facts. Opinions, if they are to be presented at all, should be presented at the end of the informative presentation as a closing statement that concludes all of the empirical data that was presented. This reads more like a persuasive piece based on opinion. You bring it back around by explaining how Dodge dealers are franchises and there are laws in place to prevent Dodge from stepping in, but the beginning was a bit misleading.

Hello, my name is Francis Jenkins Quebec Canada. I am the owner of twelve products of the brand. I have a 2018 demon and I’m trying to get an allowance but all the dealerships in Quebec don’t want to know about my interest in a 170 or more demon and they’re asking me for a $50,000 deposit. I’m disappointed with the greed of the dealers. Yet mrs Tuniski said that the first owners would have a chance to speak with a dealer who has an allowance. but it’s wrong… I have no luck for the moment
