There is a Dodge Challenger SRT® Hellcat for Kids, Too

1 year ago Showcase

The Brotherhood of Muscle is alive and well thanks to the modern lineup of high-performance vehicles from the Dodge brand, but a new offering in the world of electric children’s ride-on vehicles from iRerts allows kids to enjoy a childhood of muscle. These small cars are flawlessly modeled after the current Dodge Challenger SRT® Hellcat Widebody, with distinct details like the LED headlights, the exterior mirrors, the SRT sport bucket seat, the flat-bottomed steering wheel and the production-style wheels over Brembo-style brake calipers. It also has a Bluetooth®/FM radio, push button start, a seat belt and, for the younger kids, a remote control mode that allows an adult to do the driving.

This small scale Dodge Challenger is powered by a pair of 12-volt, 25-watt motors that allow for speeds to up 2.8 mph, but the top speed can be limited to either 0.7 or 1.4 mph while kids learn how to control the vehicle. The drive system also showcases “soft start” technology, which limits initial acceleration so that the kids don’t give themselves whiplash from doing hard digs. Four-wheel independent suspension coupled with the non-slip tires provide solid traction and cornering abilities on most hard surfaces such as asphalt, brick and wood, as well as flat grass surfaces, but like the full-sized SRT Hellcat cars – they aren’t likely to get great traction in dirt, sand or mud.

As you can see in the pictures, this is a single-seat ride-on, so it is a touch smaller than the average two-seat models, but that gives the driver more space in the SRT sport seat, complete with a three-point racing-style harness. There is also a button to make engine revving sounds, in addition to the horn button and the controls for the Bluetooth/FM radio.

The suggested age range varies from 3 to 8 years old depending on the website where this small-scale Dodge Challenger is being sold, but it is intended for kids up to 39.37 inches tall with a maximum weight of 61.6 pounds. On an 8-hour charge, kids will get up to 2 hours of drive time – less for bigger kids who drive it harder. If your child isn’t old enough to control it themselves, the 2.4GHz remote gives you full control of the vehicle.

This Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody for kids is offered in three exterior colors – black, white and what looks like Frostbite Blue – as well as an intricate police livery. The black-and-white police car comes with a bull bar with red and blue lights up front, along with a red and blue light bar across the top of the windshield.

These Dodge Challenger ride-ons are available from a few places online, with pricing ranging from $209 to $299, depending on where you do your online shopping. At any price, this new small-scale Challenger is a great way to get your little ones interested in a future with the Brotherhood of Muscle at an early age.

If you don’t have kids and you like to collect small-scale Dodge cars, this Challenger SRT Hellcat does function as a remote-controlled car, so you really don’t need to have a child to enjoy it. Maybe you have a really patient, well-behaved dog that will stay in the seat as you slowly and carefully drive it around. Frankly, that sounds like a video that would be likely to go viral on social media, so perhaps a member of the Brotherhood of Muscle will buy one and make a hilarious video with their pet.
