The Ultimate Last Chance

6 years ago Events

Back in 2012, the very first of the Gen 5 Vipers was sold at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction. Then, in 2014, the first-ever Dodge Challenger SRT® Hellcat was auctioned off for a record hammer price. Both cars were painted the identical Stryker Red, and together they raised over $2 million for charity.

And that got us thinking … since the Viper is gone and the Dodge Challenger SRT® Demon is a one-year limited-production masterpiece, what if we took both of those actual last production cars and did something really unique? So we have.

Earlier today, here at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in West Palm Beach, Florida, Dodge announced that “The Ultimate Last Chance” will be sold together as one lot, to one lucky owner! The last-ever production Dodge Viper, a 2017 painted in Viper Red (paint code LRN) with black Alcantara interior, will pair up with the last-ever production 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, painted in the identical Viper Red with black Alcantara interior. Both cars are true one-of-a-kind models, featuring specific dash plaques and custom car covers, and they also come with an authentication kit documenting that they are indeed the last of those models ever built, guaranteeing their place in history. This Viper was themed after the very first Viper produced back in 1992, and the SRT Demon comes with the Demon Crate.

The wild thing is this particular Viper was never meant to be in private hands; it was always destined to be part of the Dodge Heritage Collection. And as you know, all of the SRT Demons have already been spoken for, so to put this opportunity together took a lot of work on the inside. It is now a done deal and you could be the lucky owner of both cars.

For this auction, Dodge has teamed up with United Way, with the 100% of the hammer sales proceeds benefiting that outstanding group. You may recognize our partnership with United Way; when the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant (the home of Viper) was closed, items from inside were auctioned off to enthusiasts looking for a connection to Viper’s history. Those proceeds went to United Way as well.

This ultimate duo will cross the block at the Barrett-Jackson Northeast auction at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, June 23rd, and registration is open now until May 28th for you to bid on this historic pair.

“The Ultimate Last Chance” are very different cars; but, together, they’re an incredible package sure to be talked about for years to come!
