Dodge//SRT® and Mopar® Team Up for Ultimate NHRA Fan Experience

6 years ago Racing

Mopar® and Dodge//SRT® have teamed up to boost their primary sponsorships of Don Schumacher Racing (DSR) NHRA Top Fuel star Leah Pritchett and NHRA Funny Car favorite Matt Hagan with a push that takes aim at taking home the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series world title.

In support of the drivers – and to the delight of the fans – a massive 4,800-square-foot Mopar Dodge//SRT traveling display, one of largest on NHRA Midway, will debut at the season-opening NHRA Winternationals, February 8-11 in Pomona, California, and will be present at 15 NHRA national events throughout the 2018 season.

The display combines each brand’s rig to form one of the largest displays on NHRA Manufacturers Midway with fan-friendly exhibits and show vehicles all under one footprint. Exclusive to the display, starting at the NHRA Gatornationals, there will be an elevated viewing area atop the Dodge rig that will give VIP fans an aerial view of the midway and track.

On the lower level, fan can experience Dodge Challenger SRT® Demon simulators, enter to win prizes, learn more about Mopar Parts and Accessories, and meet their favorite NHRA stars in autograph sessions.

In the online arena, Dodge Garage, a new one-stop digital content hub for drag racing and muscle car enthusiasts, is hosting a three-part video series, “Chasing the Title”. The series offers fans a unique, behind-the-scenes glimpse at the DSR team in action and features interviews with Pritchett, her DSR team and NHRA legend and team owner Don Schumacher.

Watch the teaser video of the first episode, featuring Pritchett.

“Chasing the Title” video debut dates:

  • Part 1: Tuesday, Jan. 30
  • Part 2: Thursday, Feb. 1
  • Part 3: Thursday, Feb. 8

In further support of the drivers and their run for the title, the brands will also share sponsorship of Pritchett with Pennzoil for two events during the season to add momentum to the push. And for the 2018 season, the Mopar and Dodge//SRT brands will continue to recognize and monetarily reward NHRA Sportsman racers.

Show up and tune in for the fun. It’s going to be everything but mellow.
