NMCA All-Stars Thunder Into Georgia

6 years ago Racing

The sleepy town of Commerce, Georgia, will be awakened by the sounds of supercharged and naturally aspirated HEMI®-powered machines blasting down the quarter-mile strip of Atlanta Dragway in a few days as the NMCA 2018 Tour makes its second stop for its annual All-Star race.

At the season-opener in Florida last month, the grandstands and staging lanes were packed at Bradenton Motorsports Park as records were broken. Geoff Turk’s Dodge Challenger Drag Pak became the first Stock Eliminator into the seven-second zone and Bill Lee Jr. drove his 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT® Demon to a national event win. Coming off that awesome event, the NMCA is ready to do it again.

With this weekend’s race being the 9th Annual NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals, the staff at Atlanta Dragway will make sure the starting line has plenty of bite for the 1,000-plus-horsepower machines to lay down some impressive numbers for both the racers and the fans.

It’s also the second event for the Dodge/Mopar® HEMI Shootout. If you’re looking to run your late-model Challenger, Charger, Viper, Magnum, 300, Ram or Grand Cherokee SRT, drive it on over to Atlanta Dragway. We’ll even pay for your entry if you act quickly. Just check out all the details and register here before it’s too late. If you’re still on the fence about racing your Dodge, this video might sway you.

The All-Star Nationals is also one of only two events in which fans can witness the intense NMCA and NMRA action on the same weekend. Many premier local racers descend onto Atlanta Dragway and with the NMCA and NMRA regulars in the pits; it’s a big power shootout with the Street Outlaws challenging some heavy-hitters.

So, if you’re looking for some hot fun in the Atlanta area this weekend, make sure to check out the NMCA All-Star Race. Can’t make it to the race? Tune into DodgeGarage.com for the livestream of the event all weekend long.
