The 17th Annual NMCA Bluegrass Nationals will once again bring seasoned drag racers and some first-timers to Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the weekend of May 17-20, 2018. There’ll be tire-smoking, all-out, quarter-mile fun with numerous classes, including our Dodge/Mopar_® HEMI^® Shootout. All the competitors will be in contention for generous payouts and trophies and looking to settle some prior scores as this, the third race on the NMCA schedule. The NMCA is grassroots drag racing that brings speed freaks and horsepower junkies together for this high-octane experience.

Ready to attack the strip will also be Todd “SRTMush” in his slightly warmed over 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT^® Demon. Todd will be talking smack and doing some grudge races with his wife as she races their modified 2016 Charger SRT Hellcat. Todd is a self-proclaimed “redneck” who’s been a huge Mopar fan his whole life. A few years back, Todd became somewhat of an Internet sensation.

“Although ‘Team SRTMush’ has only risen to popularity in the Mopar community over the last two years, due in large part to the SRT-focused YouTube channel, the history goes back to the ’80s, when “Shelby” and “Turbo 4 cylinder” and “Dodge” were terms people used in the same sentence,” said Todd.

“We started a YouTube channel in 2016 to highlight the ownership experience of Dodge’s newest rocket ship; and things got rolling for me and my wife when we purchased a Charger SRT Hellcat and began modifying it.”

With the Challenger SRT Demon added to their garage earlier this year, the husband-and-wife team takes both their vehicles to the drag strip regularly and push the limits of the cars and each other. Todd captures all this fun and posts informative YouTube videos for the world to see, with almost 150K followers on social media. The couple currently boasts the title of the fastest Dodge Demon in the world. If you have 9 seconds to spare, you will want to see these two run down the quarter-mile.
