Sick Stats

Hometown: Detroit, Michigan (metro area)
Vehicle: 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT® Demon
Color: Satin Desert Tan
Engine: 6.2 Supercharged
Tires: 315 Drag Radials
Personal Best: 9.9

How did you choose the vehicle you are racing with?

I started out in Jeep® off-roading, but after working on Dodge projects and helping build the M1 Concourse in the Detroit area, I found this car and couldn’t pass it up. It is a blast to drive, and I’m never getting rid of it.

What makes your vehicle “sick”?

The custom wrap I’m creating for this race, which will be a Jeep Woodie meets Tiki bar with a few Easter eggs hidden in the design, as well.

From a vehicle standpoint, the fact that it is a production car that can still run a 9.6 quarter. You can drive it on the road every day, but then hit up a drag strip and have a blast.

What excites you about Sick Week?

I love the drag racing community and continue to get more involved in it. I’ve made some great friends from around the country, and most are going to be there. It is awesome to be racing with some of the fastest cars in the country while also cruising across the state like a rally.

What will your journey to Florida be like?

I’m waiting on one last part to come in, which should be here within the hour. After that, we need to apply the vehicle wrap. We might pull an all-nighter and leave Wednesday morning before the snow flies. If not, we’ll head out first thing Friday morning after the storm passes. I just want to get down there away from the Michigan cold and enjoy the sunshine. As much as I love driving on some of the great roads in Kentucky, there will not be any detours on this trip.

Have you participated in any other racing events like this?

I’ve done a lot of off-roading events. As far as racing, just Roadkill Nights, but I plan on participating in more!

What makes you a good drag racer?

I am a massive competitor and adrenaline junkie. There is no better feeling than the hype of pulling up to the starting line and racing against someone. And if I don’t win, I always want to get better, so I tinker to make it faster and stronger.

Who is your drag race inspiration?

I’ve become pretty good friends with Tom Bailey after doing his wraps.

What are you passionate about outside of racing?

Off-roading. But outside of the automotive world, I enjoy snowboarding and golf.
