You might say that we’re in the era of remixes – an era of reusing, remaking and retelling. It’s rare to find something original, something never done before, especially in the music industry. The group Kreative Kontrol is that rare exception.

As creators of the car enthusiast genre, Kreative Kontrol is a music group fully committed to making music geared toward the car world. Before they came together, members Justin and Kendal had been surrounded by music; Justin’s father was a pastor and member of a choir who sings in multiple languages. Growing up in New Orleans, music permeated Kendal’s childhood. In 2010, when Justin and Kendal came together to create Kreative Kontrol, they knew they were on the verge of creating something special, something that hadn’t been done before.

Kreative Kontrol will perform songs from their latest album Mopar_® Heaven as well as sing the national anthem for the opening ceremonies at the WAM-Show in Fort Worth, Texas, on March 23rd. The performance is sure to display Kreative Kontrol’s wide range of talent: Mopar Heaven includes songs that appeal to country, afro pop, gospel, hip hop and more. No matter the genre of music, each song displays a positive message surrounding the love people have for their cars and the car community.

Kreative Kontrol does not just create their own music, they have also produced songs for car clubs like Blacklist Mopars in Houston, and owners nationwide. More so, Kreative Kontrol doesn’t just make music about Mopar life: they live it! With a 2013 Dodge Charger SRT8 and a 2018 Dodge Charger SRT^® Hellcat, Justin and Kendal are singing about their own experiences with Mopar vehicles.

So far, the Mopar community has been very supportive of Kreative Kontrol, using their songs on social media alongside original content. This is a small step toward achieving their larger goals of having their music featured in music videos, commercials and video games centering around the car community.

There is much to be admired in terms of Kreative Kontrol’s originality. Few artists are able to merge their personal passions with their talents. And while we all know musicians and celebrities love to collect cars, has anyone actually taken the time to create music based off of this global interest? Kreative Kontrol has paved a new path to highlight the unity and camaraderie of the car community. We’re looking forward to jamming out to their new album and all of their future projects.
