Nothing’s New but the Paint

There are two types of automotive DIY projects – the ones that need replacing and the ones that need rebuilding. When it comes to vintage muscle and Mopar® classics, we have a heavy preference for rebuilding the original. Something about bringing the parts back to life is beyond satisfying. This 1968 Plymouth Road Runner is a great example of a restoration that is still nearly fully original – the B5 Blue finish being the only exception. Under the hood is a numbers-matching rebuilt 426 HEMI® V8 engine and the interior looks as good as it did when it left the factory with all the components still impressively intact. The fully restored ’68 Plymouth Road Runner 426 is available for the bargain price of $156,998 – nearly $30,000 less than its appraised value. Let us know in the comments the last time you saw a restoration this pretty.
