With his grandsons carrying on the drag racing tradition, and Herb’s never-ending passion for cars and the community, there’s no slowing him down. From being an early adopter of GEN III HEMI® V8 engine swaps into vintage Mopar® vehicles, to being a guest speaker at numerous car enthusiast events across the country, to working with his son, Michael, and being an integral part of the awesome The McCandless Collection, Herb doesn’t know how to slow down. He may say, “I don’t do nothing very well,” but for many decades, Herb McCandless has helped thousands of Mopar street enthusiasts and grassroots drag racers make their cars faster. Herb McCandless might be approaching 80 years of age, but don’t look for him to simply fade away.
