A Dodge Resto-mod with a Twist

We love a resto-mod because the outside brings back nostalgia of another time and the inside … well, you just never know what surprises might be inside. Combining the look and feel of a classic muscle car with modern-day technology and upgrades makes for one hell of a ride. In this case, a 1968 Dodge Charger meets a Challenger SRT® Hellcat … and the two tango with carbon fiber. ExoMod Concepts, a shop based in Greenville, Pennsylvania, teamed up with the well-known Hennessey Performance to create this dreamy 1968 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat carbon fiber combo. “Our distinctive widebody 1968 Charger is a modern supercar,” said Rick Katzeff, ExoMod’s CEO. The finished product is about 400 pounds lighter than the weight of the Challenger that we see today and the 6.2-liter V8 gets it to a whopping 1,000 horsepower. ExoMod priced the 1968 Dodge Charger resto-mod at $379,000 and plans to build just a handful more. What would you like to see them put together next? Rumor has it that they’re considering a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona…
