Top Fuel Ace Josh Hart’s Awesome Mopar® Collection Heading to Mecum Auctions
If you’re looking for a brand-new Challenger Drag Pak, Challenger SRT® Demon 170, Viper or even a cool vintage Dodge Power Wagon, head to the upcoming Mecum Auctions in Kissimmee, Florida, and check out the Josh Hart Top Fuel Mopar® Collection. The Mecum Kissimmee event kicks off collector car auction season with a parade of vintage machines, rare muscle cars and exotic vehicles crossing the auction block. They get hammered for big bucks and head to a new home with a fresh caretaker to be admired. That’s why you want to have a closer look at the Josh Hart Mopar Collection, as he’s amassed quite an assortment of some fine modern Dodge muscle created to dominate the street and strip.

To understand NHRA Top Fuel ace Josh Hart, he’s more than just blasting down a drag strip strapped into an 11,000-horsepower nitro-burning missile. This 41-year-old lifelong gearhead and self-made entrepreneur founded ‘Burnyzz,’ a state-of-the-art auto modification facility, restoration center and exotic car showroom located in Ocala, Florida, just seven miles down the road from the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing. With his wife Brittanie, daughter Helen and son Banks, Burnyzz is truly a family business in which each member in this tight-knit household shares a love and passion for cool, fast and exceptional vehicles that have solidified their place in automotive and racing history.

After breaking all the rules on the street, Josh wanted to drag race legitimately on the track. “We had a family friend that basically said you’re really good at drag racing, you should go to the strip,” said Josh. When he started out, it was a hobby at first, but it became much more. Street Cars, daily drivers and just about anything that could move on its own power was Josh’s mode of quarter-mile fun. Eventually, he worked his way through the Sportsman ranks and earned three wins in Top Alcohol Dragster before stepping up to the professional leagues. Josh made it known a few years back that he wanted to compete in the pinnacle professional category of drag racing: Top Fuel Dragster. With input from others in sports, and the blessing of his family, who heartily supported him 100%, Josh set his sights and focused on the next chapter of his racing career. He knew his rookie year driving a Top Fuel Dragster would be tough, but Josh was undaunted. But what a rookie season it was as Josh won his debut in Top Fuel Dragster at the 2021 NHRA Gatornationals and followed up that win with another victory in this highly competitive class of well-funded teams and seasoned drivers. “We went into the 2021 Gatornationals just hoping to qualify, and we ended up winning the race,” smiled Josh.

After racing Top Fuel Dragsters for a couple of years, Josh wanted to get back to production-based cars. He hooked up with David Davies and competed in the Flexjet NHRA Factory Stock Showdown class. Josh ran a 2021 Challenger Drag Pak against the Ford Cobra Jet Mustangs and Chevy COPO Camaro. “I had a lot of fun competing in that class and met many great racers. I’ll miss racing in Factory Stock Showdown this year,” noted Josh.

As with any serious car collector, there comes a time when you need to ‘thin the herd,’ and for Josh, he wanted to start off the New Year with a fresh perspective. “I look at what I have in the collection and then determine what I’d like to sell. For 2026, I have a new full-time driving sport in a Top Fuel Dragster as part of the iconic John Force Racing Team,” said Josh. “With my new duties, responsibilities and extensive travel attending 20-plus NHRA National Events this year, it will take a great deal of time away from managing my collection of awesome Mopars. All of the cars in my collection have been prized possessions, but I saw this as an opportunity to find them a new home with collectors who will appreciate them as much as I did.”

Josh also knows all too well the rarity of these cars, and once they’ve left the collection, he’ll probably never see them again. “Some of the cars are the earliest examples of their specific type to roll off the assembly line. The Challenger Drag Paks are amazing machines that I have had since they were released. This is a great mix of cars that could be museum pieces or the perfect daily driver,” replied Josh. With his addiction to high-octane and high-horsepower Dodge//SRT machines, Josh will always have a soft spot on his heart for Mopar vehicles.

Here’s a snapshot of Josh’s Mopar Collection heading to the auction block on Sunday, January 18, at Mecum Kissimmee including some cool rides in his collector car showroom that are currently for sale.
