SRTDad’s Mopar® Journey: Family, Muscle and Community

Luis Beltran, better known as SRTDad_10 to his growing legion of followers, is a family man with a passion for Mopar® that’s taken the online car community by storm. From his first Dodge Charger to his latest Dodge Magnum, Luis has built a platform that celebrates American muscle while keeping family first.

Luis’s Mopar story began in 2017 with a Dodge Charger R/T. As a father, the four-door sedan was the perfect blend of practicality and performance, offering enough space for his family while delivering the V8 rumble that defines Dodge. “It was the ideal family car with some serious muscle,” Luis says, reflecting on why he chose the Charger. But two years later, an accident left him searching for a new ride.

Enter CarGurus, where Luis stumbled upon a 2009 Dodge Charger SRT8 with just 24,000 miles and two owners for $20,000. Which at the time was half the cost of a new car. Taking his four-year-old son along for the test drive, car seat in tow, Luis knew he’d found something special. That SRT8 became the cornerstone of his Mopar journey.

Encouraged by fellow enthusiasts in Facebook groups, Luis started sharing his Charger’s story online, first on YouTube and later on Instagram, where his SRTDad_10 page exploded. “There wasn’t much content out there for that generation of Charger,” he notes, explaining the gap he filled. Social media was still evolving when the 2009 SRT8 hit the streets. Luis’s fresh take on the platform complete with memes, selfie videos and meticulously researched posts resonated with fans of the era.

What sets SRTDad apart is his commitment to community. He regularly features photos and videos submitted by followers, showcasing their Mopar vehicles and building a tight-knit network of enthusiasts. Luis takes feedback seriously, tweaking his content to stay relevant and engaging. His posts, which range from the latest Mopar news to hilarious car-related memes, reflect hours of research to keep his audience informed and entertained. Now posting 4-10 times a day, Luis’s dedication has turned his passion into a full-fledged mission.

The SRTDad_10 name is a nod to both family and fandom. The “SRTDad” part reflects his role as a devoted father, with his kids often joining him on car adventures. The “10” comes from his favorite basketball player, Mike Bibby, and even graces his license plate. Family is at the heart of everything Luis does, from choosing four-door muscle cars to sharing road trip stories with his kids.

Recently, Luis expanded his Mopar collection with a Dodge Magnum SRT8, a versatile muscle wagon that’s become a family favorite. Purchased from an old-school seller on Facebook Marketplace, the deal wasn’t without its challenges. The seller insisted on a first-come, first-serve approach, skeptical of buyers who “talk but don’t show up.” Luis’s persistence paid off, and after days of negotiations, he drove home the Magnum, which had 98,000 miles at purchase.

The Magnum has proven to be a game-changer. “Stock for stock, the Magnum is more comfortable and better for daily use,” Luis says. Its spacious interior and smooth HEMI® V8 ride make it the go-to for family road trips, like a recent visit to Legoland. The kids love its comfort, and with an impressive 21 MPG for a HEMI engine-powered wagon, it’s as practical as it is powerful.

Looking ahead, Luis has big plans. He’s eyeing a supercharger for the Magnum to unleash its full potential while keeping the Charger naturally aspirated for that classic V8 feel. “I want one NA car and one boosted,” he explains. He’s also dreaming of a Dodge TRX, which he calls the “can-do-anything car” for its blend of power and versatility.

While Luis hasn’t hit the drag strip yet, he’s eager to change that. He’s planning to host a Mopar community event, potentially renting out a track to bring fans together for some high-octane fun. It’s a natural next step for someone who’s built such a strong following in just three years.

What started as a hobby has become something much bigger. After being contacted by Meta, Luis began treating SRTDad_10 like a full-time endeavor. “I didn’t think of it as a job at first,” he admits, but the past month has seen him push harder than ever, producing more content than he did in the previous three years combined. His focus on quality, community and staying true to his Mopar roots has turned SRTDad_10 into a must-follow for Dodge enthusiasts.

For Luis Beltran, SRTDad_10 isn’t just a social media handle, it’s a lifestyle. From his family-friendly Charger SRT8 to the road-trip-ready Magnum, he’s proving that muscle cars and family life go hand in hand. Through his infectious passion, engaging content and deep connection to the Mopar community, Luis is keeping the spirit of American muscle alive, one post at a time. Keep an eye on SRTDad_10, because this Mopar dad is just getting started.
