With a week of rest and a wave of momentum, Dodge-backed Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) heads to the NHRA New England Nationals with fire in the pipes and Wallys on their minds.
Fresh off a victorious weekend at the Gerber Collision & Glass Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by PEAK, Tony Stewart rolled into the winner’s circle in Top Fuel for the second time this season – proving that his transition from oval track legend to nitro-powered phenom is no fluke. In only his sophomore NHRA campaign, Stewart is quickly climbing the ranks, showing composure, consistency and the raw edge it takes to win at the sport’s highest level.
“It felt great to get that second win under our belt,” said Stewart. “The car’s coming around, the team’s clicking, and now we’ve got our eyes on Epping. We’re not backing off.”
Meanwhile, on the Funny Car side of the Tony Stewart Racing garage, Matt Hagan is building his own surge of momentum. Piloting the menacing Dodge Direct Connection Charger SRT® Hellcat, Hagan – the four-time world champion – has been delivering thunderous passes and top-tier performances all season. Now, as the series turns toward the East Coast, the veteran is aiming to lock down his first win of the 2025 campaign.
“This team’s been digging hard all season,” Hagan said. “We’ve had a strong car, we’ve gone rounds, but we’re chasing wins. Epping’s always electric, and we’re ready to bring the heat.”
The New England Nationals offer the perfect stage: passionate fans, sea-level horsepower and a track surface that rewards precision and power. With Dodge and Direct Connection backing both nitro machines, TSR isn’t just showing up – they’re staking their claim.
From the tree to the stripe, Stewart and Hagan are locked in. And with their eyes on another successful weekend, the only question is: who’s stopping them?
