Dodge Charger SIXPACK Thrills the Crowd at Roadkill Night

On Friday, August 8th, Dodge introduced the world to the Charger SIXPACK with the 3.0-liter Hurricane I6 twin turbo engine and on Saturday, August 9th, Dodge was offering tire-smoking rides in the brand-new car at Roadkill Nights. There were plenty of new Dodge Charger SIXPACKs staged around the event grounds for attendees to check out in person, but the centerpiece of the event was the Thrill Rides area, with a lineup of new twin turbocharged Scat Pack models drifting, doing burnouts and generally destroying tires with Roadkill attendees riding along for the fun.

The Dodge brand has done some pretty extreme things over the years and introducing a new model to the world with Thrill Rides ranks up there as another thing that most automakers would never consider. However, after some concern about how the electric version won’t do standing burnouts, the company made sure to showcase how well the new Dodge Charger SIXPACK will destroy the rear tires. When combined with the display of how well the new muscle car drifts around the tight course, the Roadkill Nights Thrill Rides proved to be one of the most unique new model introductions we’ve seen.

For those who were unable to attend 2025 Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge, the Thrill Rides were free to everyone – you just signed up and waited in the line. Really, the line is the “hardest part”, as throughout the history of Roadkill Nights, the Thrill Rides have always been insanely popular. For years, people waited in line to ride in SRT® Hellcat-powered cars; and this year, the crowd for the ride-along program with the new Hurricane-powered cars was just as large.

I spent some time hanging out at the Thrill Ride area and the people getting out of the cars clearly had a great time as passengers in the 2026 Dodge Charger SIXPACK. I was able to talk to a handful of Roadkill Nights attendees who participated in the Thrill Ride and they were all very impressed with the new car.

“I’ve been telling folks that the car is absolutely visceral. The car has a true personality now, and it is not in the mood to deal with timid people. With how active and excited it behaves, it’s hard to believe it weighs like 5k pounds. I’d even say better power delivery than the old 392 cars.” – Shaun Porter

“I’m obsessed. The color (peel out) Gorgeous. But honestly, that’s not even the point,The rush was short but it was just enough to make me want more. I couldn’t stop smiling the whole time. I’m in love with this car.” – Mary Easley

“I own a modified Dodge Challenger SRT 392 that makes around 500 horsepower at the wheels, so it was interesting for me to experience the high-output Hurricane with similar power output. I was surprised with how quickly it got up to power and how easily it roasted the tires in rear-wheel-drive mode. It was my first experience riding in a performance car with a twin turbo straight six and I was really impressed.” – Dale Christopher

“It was so cool to come to Roadkill Nights and get to ride in a new Dodge Charger that isn’t even on sale yet. Riding in the car for burnouts was awesome!” – Connor Christopher

“After reading about the new Dodge Charger SIXPACK online, I was interested in seeing how it performed compared to my BMW with a tuned B58 engine. The Charger is much bigger than my M440i, but the SIXPACK felt really strong as we were drifting around the skidpad. I really like that you can select rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive.” – Bryan A.

“The interior of the new Dodge Charger SIXPACK is really high tech and cool. Being one of the first people in the world to ride in one of these cars is a great feature of Roadkill Nights.” – Rick A.

Everyone loved the Thrill Rides and once again, Dodge has found a cool, new way to give fans a look at a new model while providing an unforgettable experience in the newest Mopar® muscle car.
