The Dodge Challenger: Then and Now

Street Muscle Magazine’s Rob Finkelman just introduced his new column That was Then, This is Now. The series will spotlight an iconic car from the American muscle era and compare it to its modern iteration. Finkelman is interested in covering how the car has changed over the years and if it’s still honoring the original. What better way to start than with the Dodge Challenger? After the Ford Mustang shook the automotive industry, Dodge designed their own version of a pony car – the Challenger. Buyers had their pick of the Deputy, SE, T/A and R/T, each with different features and their own set of options. Finkelman takes us down memory lane, starting in the ’60s and exploring each release up to today. Take a look at how the Dodge Challenger has changed over the last nearly 60 years and let us know in the comments what model year is your favorite!
