Tommy Peters Doesn’t Build Fast. He Builds Faster.

The Mopar® performance and racing culture has always thrived on horsepower, and few embody that spirit more than Tommy Peters and his team at SRT® Autoworks. Since they rolled off the showroom floor, SRT Hellcat engines have delivered over 700 horsepower that has left most drivers exhilarated, and some still hungry for more. Tommy and the SRT Autoworks team have built their reputation serving exactly those enthusiasts who crave a little more. But that little more is actually 300 extra wheel horsepower!

From owning his Dodge Neon SRT-4 in high school, to working on a used car lot, to now building the fastest SRT Hellcats in Arizona, Tommy has made his mark in the Mopar community. Since we last caught up, he has expanded his shop twice and has been on two Roadkill Grudge Match teams.

The SRT Autoworks “Exotic Killer Package” became his signature, delivering 900+ wheel horsepower on E85 for around $11,000 (including parts, labor and tune). It’s borderline crazy how comfortable he and his customers are with that much power and still room to grow.

SRT Autoworks has not just survived but thrived amid major industry shifts. The discontinuation of HEMI® production could have slowed a shop so tied to those engines and platforms. Instead, business has exploded. Tommy’s focus has pivoted heavily to the Ram TRX, the supercharged off-road super truck that continues to raise the bar on what a street-legal truck can do. Many of his customers are from all over the nation. They are shipping their SRT Hellcats to Phoenix for upgrades, drawn to SRT Autoworks’ proven personal cars.

The shop applies similar philosophy to TRXs. The Exotic Killer Package translates seamlessly, with cammed, high-horsepower builds (often 1,000+ hp) featuring upgrades like GThaus exhaust, boosted setups and more. Tommy’s personal TRX equipped with a Demon supercharger and his own high-output Exotic Killer treatment serves as a rolling showcase. SRTautoworks is now hosting dune events geared toward his exotic-killing TRX clients.

His collection has grown impressively, too. Alongside the TRX, Tommy owns a Dodge SRT Demon and even a classic Plymouth Prowler. The excitement is building further with the return of the Hellcat-powered Ram TRX. The reborn Ram 1500 SRT TRX brings back the supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8, now pushing 777 horsepower. With production resuming and deliveries expected in the second half of 2026, owners are already lining up for modifications. SRT Autoworks is perfectly positioned to capitalize, continuing to push boundaries on these proven platforms.

Tommy remains hands-on, often at events as a sponsor and behind the wheel as a racer, breaking records and building relationships. The bond with customers extends far beyond the build, it’s about joining a community of the fastest Mopar vehicles.

SRT Autoworks has evolved from a bold startup into one of the premier destinations for SRT Hellcat and TRX performance. As the Hellcat engine finds new homes and the TRX roars back, Tommy Peters and his team are ready for what’s next proving that true Mopar passion adapts, accelerates and never backs down.
